They are conveniently located on a large, multi-purpose campus where their rigorous approach to teaching and learning means that students aim higher and achieve greater than at any other school in Abu Dhabi.

The British School Al Khubairat has been at the heart of the community in Abu Dhabi since 1968. Since then they have evolved from a small school with a handful of pupils, to a modern, dynamic and highly respected British curriculum school with an enviable reputation across the region and beyond. They now have around 1,800 students of more than 50 nationalities, aged from three to 18-years-old. It is the only school in the Gulf that is a member of all three of the prestigious associations that promote excellence in British education: The Council of British International Schools which accredits British schools of quality across the world; theHeadmasters’ and Headmistresses’ Conference (HMC), which through its heads represents well over 300 leading independent schools in the UK and beyond; and the Independent Association of Prep Schools (IAPS) which represents the top 600 independent prep and junior schools in the UK and worldwide.

AISA_logoThe American International School in Abu Dhabi is celebrating its 20th anniversary, having been established in 1995 to provide local and expatriate residents of Abu Dhabi with high quality American education, based on American standards and an international curriculum. AISA received its first accreditation in October 1997 from the Middle States Association of Schools and Colleges (MSA), and in January 2010 was accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS). AISA offers education from Kindergarten to Grade 12. It was the first school to offer the International Baccalaureate Diploma in the UAE and later became the first school in Abu Dhabi to be authorized to offer the IB Primary Years Program (PYP).  In keeping with local regulations, the Secondary School is gender segregated.

logoCranleigh UK opened its doors in 1865 with the purpose of providing the local Surrey community with a first class, all-round education. The Prep School (Junior School)  celebrated its centenary in 2013 and the Senior School will celebrate its 150th anniversary in 2015. It is therefore entirely appropriate that Cranleigh Abu Dhabi should open its doors in September 2014 with similar aims of supporting the newly born Saadiyat Island community.

Horizons

Since Horizon aim at high standards and quality, their admission committee is very selective, so they had a school running for only 110 students ranging from KG1 to Grade 6 the first year.

Since their aim is to graduate students in Grade 12 able to join the top universities in the world, they start preparing their students by implementing a student centered program that engages students in a structured and purposeful framework of inquiry. It also develops their social and educational skills as well as their personality by means of activities that require the students to cooperate, show confidence and practice open mindedness.
