Course Description
Students will use Alice to design, program and present their own unique 3D world or video game. They will build a solid foundation of programming and coding fundamentals enabling them to understand logic gates and basic computational methods.
Students will be able to continue their learning at home and build on their existing technical skills to further develop their gaming programs.
As well as being a technical, skills based course, this guide can be integrated with any core curriculum subject to enhance the creative offering of the school.
Students will use Alice to establish a programming foundation on which they will build an understanding of computational thinking. Using Alice children will design, create and play their own unique 3D world or games whilst also improving their technical abilities and developing their problem solving skills.
Students will develop literacy, math and technical skills whilst they develop an effective game world in which to set and program their unique 3D worlds. They will execute successful time management whilst developing essential team work skills, giving them the confidence and ability to problem solve individually and as part of a team.
