Course Description
Join us for this innovative camp that combines turning everyday objects into touchpads AND using Xbox controllers to program your own video games!
Can you guess what is missing from these equations? Carrots = Piano, Play Doh = Mouse, Frisbee + Golf ball + Foil = Motion controller…Can you make sense of this nonsense? Makey Makey!!! You will exploit the electrical properties of ordinary objects to transform them into extraordinary computer controllers. Prepare to stretch your imagination and creativity and watch the world around you morph into a ripening harvesting ground for innovative computer interaction tools.
Then work with the Kodu Game Lab to use Xbox controllers to design, program and present your own unique video game. Learn to add objects, add scoring elements, create paths, and add multiple characters. Navigate the Xbox 360 Gamepad and build your technical skills as you create enjoyable, fun, and challenging games to share with your family and friends!
